On the 10th March, we did our first ever Facebook live event, where we provided nutritional information as well as discussing other topics. The main point we hit on was vitamin B and it's importance to our diets. There are seven B vitamins essential to our diets, all available from a variety of sources. During Facebook live we discussed the importance of nutritional yeast and how it can be beneficial to get nutrients such as B12. Great in cheese dishes, sprinkled on a salad or swished in a smoothie. B12 is vital for breaking down amino acids and fatty acids as well as helping to make red blood cells. An extremely important task. If you do not get enough B12 into your diet then symptoms may emerge in the form of; lethargy, extreme fatigue, light-headedness, palpitations and pale skin. These are not all of the symptoms and it is possible to be deficient without these, so it is crucial that B12 is figured into your diet mindfully. If you want to, there are plant-based vitamins that you can take to ensure B12 consumption, or there are a wide variety of fortified cereals, milks and of course the old faithful nutritional yeast aka nooch. There are also mulit vitamins available that factor in B12 such as Pre-blend | High Impact Plant-based Power Nutrients | Nourished (get-nourished.com)
